MY WORLD

A journey at the core of the image . . .

Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Pietro Mingotti, and my job is to create the right visuals to bring your ideas to life, from still images, photography and graphic design, to motion pictures, video and cinema. I've graduated with the maximum marks at the New Technologies Department of the Venice Academy of Fine Arts (110 cum laude), and I've been working in this field for more than 4 years now. My work style is mostly about research and the new visual trends, but I think that it's always the best track to stay close to what my customer desires.

Check out the "about" page if You want to know something more from me, who did I work with, my CV, and the latest news about my work. In the Portfolio section You will find different work areas, from Artistic Photography, to Commercials, Portraits, Video and more. Feel free to drop me a line. Since I believe in sharing, creativity and working in team instead of individualism, I love to create tutorials about my work experience. I have very little time for this, so rather then creating random tutorials, I prefer to answer your questions directly. You can find more here .

    Photographer/Videographer/Colorist/Art Director

I was born in Arzignano, a little town near Vicenza, the 26th of July, 1989. I've started studying piano at the age of six, with Elena Rossi, and at the age of fourteen I started studying contemporary and classical singing and theater too, being part of the Vicenza Musical Academy until 2008. Photography has always been one of my gratest interests, while in the meantime, from 2004 to 2009 I've studied and graduated at the Martini Artistic High School. I've graduated with the maximum marks (110 cum laude) at the New Technologies Department of the Venice Academy of Fine Arts, and since late 2009 I had eight art exhibitions in many wonderful places, including Florence, Ferrara, and Venice. I took part at the Venice BYOB at the Internt Pavillon of the 2011 Venice Biennale with my installation (video sculputre) Autoritratto #01, which is collected inside the Venice Academy of Fine Arts for further exhibits. I was part of the crew production of the documentary of the Academy Pavillon of the 2011 Venice Biennale, as part of the On location camera movements workshop, promoted by the Venice Academy of Fine Arts, under Gabriele Coassin's direction. In early 2012 I performed with my voice in AMOK, by the director Natalia Antonioli, during the art festival Art Night, in Venice; I was also art director for the costruction of the new Excellence Club 's website. In late 2012 Pietro won a prize for taking one of the best pictures and visuals for the new 2012-2013 calendar from Henry Glass. I am producing a serie of movie and games review for one of the best fan_based websites on media entertainment topics. In 2013 I've produced the visual campaign and the release of the Official Videoclip of ViPride (Regional Gay Pride), which I entirely shot and produced. It was a great honor to be chosen to promote a such important event. In mid 2013 I was chosen to be part of the Academy of Fine Arts booth at "PHOTISSIMA" Art Fair, with a selection of pictures from the "Happy" series. One of this picture is actually part of the permanent collection. In late 2013 my picture series "Don't GO" and "Happy" where featured in Photissima Art Fair Torino: More Words, in a personal booth. In 2014, my picture "Grin #01" was selected for the International Photography Contest hosted by WeFetish.

I am currently working as Art Director for Civico 76

Recent Work

A personal selection 2010-2014

Portraits & Fashion

The portraits section features all the private photographic works and the single project involving the person as subject; taking portraits of men and women is for me a very delicate moment of the whole artistic creation process. It deepens the realtionship between the artist and the person, and it is a kind of production that is deepenly involved with the concept of "humanity", imho. I think the goal of my portraits is to move towars the eye, trying to reach the essence and the meaning of being a man, and being a woman; even at the same time. Recently I've added the fashion and commision works to this section. Professional models have a soul too, haven't they?

Flesh

The Flesh collection is a gallery for overage usare only. This collection features single projects like "Don't Go", "Happy", "Nothing to Hide", "Leaving Berlin" and Pietro's anthropologic photographic research around the appearing and dress code cultures, expressed throughout their specific erotic languages, going from the GLBT culture stereothypes to human sightseen on a contemporary bodyscape. Pictures in this gallery could involve nudity or intense graphic content.

Cinema

Here is an overview of my own cinematic and digital narrative work; please be patient as the uploading and trans scrypting of the material is a delicate part of the work, as I always long to final high quality sharing for you; the latest work you will see are "Betrayal", Pietro Mingotti and Nicola Laudati, 2008, and "TWIN", Pietro Mingotti, and Luca Pantarotto, 2014/2015. But this selection includes also all the good entertainment world, from reviews to tutorials. The interactivity between me and users is very important for this section, so please feel free to suggest any topics you'd like to read or hear of. Last but not least, this section of the website includes some overviews (suchs as video interviews, doucumentaries, and so on) from the contemporary arts world, concerning both my portfolio and works from other artists.

Advertising and Spots

Here you can find all the advertising and on commission works done so far. For those of you who'd like to check this website for commercial, advertising, fashion world etcetera, I strongly suggest to take a look at the PMVisuals website, were all this good stuff is kept fresh for you.

Wedding Reportages

In this section you can find a selection of my wedding reportages, both photographic and video. It is always a big deal to me, being the official eye of such an important and wonderful day for a couple. From the strict reportage to the artistic point of view, I like letting the groom and the bride to decide how the shooting is gonna be. I like to tell their story, not mine. A

TECH blog . . .

How it works

This Tech blog was born from the idea that knowledges, expecially the most qualified ones, find their best expression when they are shared. Therefor, I'm happy to share with my followers skills and knowledges on photography, video and all the good digital video dictionary. These infos are more important than you may consider, when your goal is to creat good media in terms of quality and reliability. For the rest, the creativity is something that nobody can teach. Of course the blog is multilanguage, but I'll translate to english only if I recive specific request through the contact form. As for this, all the topics will be chosen through the request you will send. So don't be shy and shout at me, I'll get back asap.

    01
21 Marzo, 2013 | Posted by: Pietro Mingotti | Digital Video

JPEG - Joint Photographic Experts Group

MPEG - Movie Pictures Experts Group
